Today is St David’s Day, a celebration of the patron saint of Wales. As I am half-Welsh, I decided to commemorate this day, first by buying and eating Welsh cakes, which are really delicious (they’re a sort of spiced scone). I offered one Welsh cake to Inari Okami and offered a prayer to my Welsh ancestors and relatives who have passed on. I also offered one on my inside altar in honour of Ceridwen, a Welsh deity associated with magic and rebirth.

March 1st is also a time to welcome in Spring, and today felt very Spring-like, with blue skies and daffodils blooming all around (also a symbol of St David’s Day and Wales).

Dydd Gwŷl Dewi Sant hapus!
